Get your band headed towards the big-time

Having been in multiple bands over the years, I have seen and experienced a lot of different ways, both good and bad, of making a band successful. My aim here, is to help you get your band, or your solo music, off the ground and headed in the right direction.

You've been honing your skills, your chops, and your music for a long time and it's sounding pretty good by now, right? Here are some tools you can use to master the business end of the music business, and make sure that all of your hard work doesn't go unnoticed.

-First of all, get your band a Myspace account if you haven't already. This is a free and easy way to get your name out to thousands of people and network with other bands and music industry people in your area. Also, if can swing it, a professional looking website is always a good thing.

-"It's Time To Get Noticed! Guaranteed Band Promotion" This ebook gives you the tips, tools, and tricks you need to gain massive exposure for your music. -Watch out for sketchy promoters! There are tons of promotion companies out there, and it can be hard to pick out the good form the bad some times. However, even the bad ones can be helpful when you are just starting to play gigs, because they can get you on the stage regardless of your experience level is. Just be wary and don't let them take advantage of you!

-Another tool to get your music heard by the people that matter is The Musician's Upload Directory. This gives you tons of valuable websites that will let you upload your music for people to buy and listen to. Click here to check it out.

Another great ebook on how to market your music is "Marketing Your Music - Success Strategies." You'll learn about:

If you plan on making money in the music business, contracts are a necessity. There are contracts for just about anything from copyrights, to management, to marketing, to you name it! If you don't already have this figured out, the music business is not always about how good you are. In fact, it is almost always more about WHO you know rather than WHAT you know. Knowing the right people is essential. The more contacts you have, the better. Schmooze around at every concert you go to or play in. Talk to other bands and see what they have done to help themselves get to where they are. Talk to promoters, managers, agents, anybody and everybody that can help you get to the next level. A powerful tool is the Music Powers 24 site. Becoming a member at this website will let you gain access to hugely powerful contacts in the music biz, as well as: Personal Manager & Music Industry Contacts, Power-broker Music Attorney Contacts & Deal Makers, Record Label and A&R Contacts, Music Business Videos, Professional Advice & Articles.
